More Answered Prayers and an Extended Stay!

Mom rode 40 minutes up right in a car with her new brace!!

Good Evening Everyone,

Hope your day is going well thus far :)

As you know things have been really tough for Mom after the set back at the hospital. Mom’s doctor, Dr. Veeregge, can see based on the levels of CPR in her blood she had been pushed way too hard. Both Mom and he agreed it would be beneficial if she could stay longer, so he got in contact with Mom’s surgeon Dr. Bierstedt and ONZ would like to offer us another five days; all expenses paid!!

We had been praying about this issue of needing more time and feel so blessed that they are able to have us stay and will cover the expenses! Which really brings me back to the end of my last blog post, “Dream big, pray expectantly and wait restfully in His mighty hand as He moves!!” Though He doesn’t always answer in the way you had hoped. For me this time, He answered even better than I thought possible! In the next blog I'll fill y'all in about how God made flight space open up for us when we were told we had to pay $3,144.00 per person go down to $559.00 per person! Thank you for all your faithful prayers for us and we are praising the Lord for answering so speedily <3

So for our new time line, we will be flying home on July 16th. This extended time has already been beneficial to both us and the staff, as it helps us all to relax knowing there is more time to work at getting Mom further along before we need to fly home.

The days are pretty up and down. Wednesday was a pretty bad day as Mom struggled with nausea again due to her medication. This and the addition of new back brace Dr. Veeregge is trying and using the walker for the morning instead of the wheelchair, made for an emotional and physically draining day. Thursday was better and she made it to all her appointments with the walker and was also able to fit in a couple hours for a nap and lunch; which was really helpful!

One of the biggest prayer requests we have currently is the shooting pain in Mom’s hip. She says it feels like walking all day with a spear stuck into her hip…ouch! On Thursday one of the staff at the gym explained it was nerve pain that would get worse after surgery but would slowly go away. It is also hindering Mom lifting her right foot, so the sooner it clears up the better!

Oh and a quick note for my little readers or listeners at home (especially thought of you Acacia) Mom and I ate shark again lol! It was the only option being served for lunch at the Bistro a couple days ago and the verdict is in! Shark aka Seelachfilet makes for a rather tough, very fishy sort of meal….so for the future I think we'll pass on the shark ;)

Well I’m going to sign off here in the basement of Medicos; where occasionally I spend two hours sitting in the little laundry room getting our clothes clean lol! Have a blessed rest of your day
